Urban Hubs: Building Urban Collectives

Empowering citizens and urban collectives in the Serbian capital. Our partner organization ABA runs an open call for locals.

NGOs working in the field of urban development identify public spaces in need of improvement, develop a participatory process for the commons and work with the community, authorities and stakeholders. The action plan ends with design interventions for areas like public libraries or community gardens. Outcomes will be presented at the annual BINA festival in Belgrade. Partners from other Shared Cities countries, Aliancia Stara Trznica, KUNSTrePUBLIK and Mindspace, join in with designing specialized workshops and urban games for the public participatory process.

City: Belgrade
Partner: Association of Belgrade Architects
Cooperation: Aliancia Stara Trznica, Mindspace, KUNSTrePUBLIK, Curatorial Lab
Duration: December 2016 – May 2019
