Shared Cities: Creative Momentum at BINA 2019

We are inviting you to the Shared Cities section of BINA 2019 festival in Belgrade

14. BINA – Pozitivno-Aktivno

Subject of the fourteenth BINA festival POSITIVE & ACTIVE draws attention to actual and timeless examples of activities in urban and architectural practice that characterize a positive and proactive approach to understanding and solving spatial problems. The BINA 2019 programme provides an insight into the values, contemporary interpretations and indications of possible new purposes of the architecture created in the period of modernism, seen by the eyes of the “Y” generation (millennials). At the same time, through various formats: exhibitions, lectures, films and installations, BINA presents a contemporary architectural practice that arises in a completely different social, political and technological context, the basic characteristics of which are: speed, dictation of capital, flexibility and transdisciplinarity. How to be professional, achieve the desired standards, and at the same time remain faithful to ethical postulates of the profession, are the topics that will be discussed at the BINA 2019.

 

SCCM PANEL: SPACES OF PRODUCTIVITY

Urban development that lays claim on Spaces of Productivity advocates that a radical reorganization of society is needed in order to achieve sustainable urbanity. Spaces of Productivity fight against consumerism and commodification, and operate as starting points for envisaging cities that can provide better lives for all citizens with less consumption and more production.

SHARED CITIES CREATIVE MOMENTUM PRESENTATION

After the first successfully realized project within this platform, at BINA 2017, Urban Hub 1 – Plateau, at this year’s BINA, we will present Urban Hub 2 – Multifunctional Spot. The project is realized in cooperation with NGO Škogled, Goethe-Institut and the “Vlada Obradović Kameni” Primary School.
Urban Hub 2 – Multifunctional Spot is a collectively conceived intervention in a schoolyard – a summer classroom in the open air, in the Ledine residential area, aimed at improving the quality of life in a community.
